About Me

I believe the destiny of my career was written in 2008. Whilst enjoying the heat of the summer, I read a book that questioned whether we work to live or live to work. I thought long and hard, and realised that if I made my passion my job, I would never feel like I have ‘worked’ another day in my life.

My main passion in life is makeup, it’s artistry and beauty treatments in general. After my realisation, I started to become excited by the idea of implementing my hobby into my work. I immediately started to research about makeup schools so I could pursue my dreams and turn my passion into a profession. I quickly began to develop a fondness for the philosophy of the Professional Colors-Up Makeup School, to which I signed up and completed my first year of studying beauty. This is where I started to learn everything I know today and gave me the opportunity to take part in apprenticeships, working on TV shows and catwalks. These opportunities reinforced the desires within me to be part of the beauty industry. At the end of the course, I began freelancing for a few months to gain experience before embarking on a greater adventure.

Young and ambitious with a focus on progressing and learning different makeup techniques and styles, I decided to leave my home in Spain and move to London. This is where I completed another makeup course, which further developed my skillset and confidence whilst facilitating more success as a freelance artist. My drive to continue adding to the knowledge already acquired and achieving my dreams led me to enrol on the Makeup and Hair Design BA (Hons) Degree at Southampton Solent University, where I studied for 3 years and achieved a strong 2:1 Honours Degree. Alongside my studies, I was offered a role as the counter manager at MaxFactor and undertook this whilst also building up a large clientele as a beauty artist and nail technician in a local salon. Additionally, I carried on working as a freelance artist, working mostly at weddings and proms.

Upon completing my degree, I decided to move to Scotland. This is where I was finally able to fulfill my dream to have my very own beauty salon at home and to put all my attention back into building my own make up and beauty treatment business.
